9/11 Memorial - New York City Sat. Aug. 18, 2012
This memorial is a tribute of remembrance and honor to the nearly 3,000 people killed in the terror attacks of September 11, 2001 at the World Trade Center. The Memorial’s twin reflecting pools are each nearly an acre in size and feature the largest manmade waterfalls in North America. The names of every person who died in the 1993 and the 2001 attacks are inscribed in bronze panels placed around the memorial pools. We will spend 1 ½ hrs at this outside memorial. Note: this memorial is entirely outside and will entail moderate walking. Following our visit to the Memorial we will visit the South Street Seaport for lunch on own.

Our first stop will be at the Eagle Theatre in Hammonton which was originally constructed in 1914 for the showing of silent motion pictures. Following our theater tour, we will have lunch at Frog Rock Country Club. Afterwards we visit the cranberry bogs and if the growing season co-operates with us we will be right out in the bogs. That’s right, we drive the coach right in through the bogs as a cranberry farmer gives us all the particulars about cranberries.
